Junior Year at Ringling

And finally, I present an overview of junior year at Ringling! With that I'm off, see you when I see you.

Production Design/Sound BTS

And finally, the last set of the semester where I was PD and Sound, which was crazy. Being two keys on one set is really hectic! But it was a super fun time and it turned out really cool! Here we go-

Grip BTS

Here are some BTS photos from the set I gripped on. A lot of the photos are from pre-production, but ehhh it's all I've got.

Directing BTS

And now, I present the BTS for my film, Maddock the Magnificent. Most photos are from Day 2 because Day 1 was insane- we ran into a ton of problems.

The sun setting at the end of day 1

Even though we had a lot of issues day 1, we plowed through them and got an awesome product. I honestly can't thank my crew enough for everything that they did and all the work they put into this production- couldn't have asked for better people to work with!

Cinematographer BTS

This semester, I was director of photography for my friend Jo's film, Norma(l). I didn't personally take any photos for this set because being DP is intense, but here are some from the set!

This photo accurately represents my feelings on set

Overall, this was a super fun set because I got to be doing cinematography, but it was exhausting! I was dead after these two days- but it couldn't stop because my film shot the next week (AHHHHHH!).

1st Assistant Camera BTS

The second shoot that we did this past semester, I was 1st AC. I took a couple of photos and videos on set, here they are!

Gaff BTS

Well friends, welcome to the wonderful world of junior project. That's right, we're finally here. So junior project is what takes up most of your time junior year in the film department. I think I'm going to go through every set I was on to give you an idea of what junior project is like. So over the course of the semester in addition to directing your own film, you have to act as grip, gaff, 1st assistant camera, cinematographer, sound mixer, and production designer. My first set was gaff, which is normally handling all the lights, but it turns out that this set was actually on a beach outside... so no lights. So my friend and I basically acted as a two-woman grip team lugging equipment like 2 miles down the beach lol. Despite all that it was actually a ton of fun! Although we did get rained out and have a bit of a crisis day 2- but oh well! I got to ride a boat at the end so it was all alright.
