3D Design Mask
I've started a new semester! It's been almost a month since school has been back in session and I've just wrapped up a couple of the first projects I was assigned. For 3D design, we had to make masks that had some kind of moveable part and a reveal from an outer self to an inner self. In addition, we had to group in tribes to create unique masks that all related to each other. My group decided to do endangered animals and show an outer message of the things that are causing the extinction of the animals and an inner message of how the animals should be. I chose to do a sea turtle. I used various materials that contribute to the pollution of the waters including gum wrappers, broken glass, pizza boxes, plastic bags, and plastic lids. For a base I used cardboard and paper mache.
